Biography Work for Children and Teenagers
We offer biography workshops for school age children and young people. The work groups are particularly aimed at those who are increasingly coming to terms with their origins, who are asking questions about their biological family, who are showing changes in their behaviour at school or in their personal lives, or who are about to travel to their country of origin. It would be helpful for them to be able to categorise their travel impressions and the confrontations they have experienced, and to benefit from the exchange with children with similar life stories.
Our workshops take place in small groups. The central concern of biographical work is to give a mindful and respectful meaning to the history of origins. It is not explicitly about coming to terms with the past, but about dealing with the subject in a careful and age-appropriate way.
If possible, we offer a new beginners' group once a year. For advanced participants, we have kept the number of sessions at 1-2 per year.
