Adoption placement
Every child has the right to have a parent!
If the biological family cannot fulfil this requirement, social parenting is a suitable substitute. Of course, preferably in their own culture. This is why Parents-Child-Bridge also supports foster families in the children's country of birth.
Healthy newborns usually find new parents in their countries of origin. Nevertheless, the search for resilient and loving adoptive parents abroad is still necessary, as there are still abandoned children who would otherwise have no chance of finding a family. Religious or ethnic reasons often stand in the way of adopting a child into a domestic family in the child's home country.
This means that a foreign adoption should only take place if no family can be found in the home country. It is therefore the last opportunity for the children concerned to be safe in a loving and protective family for the rest of their lives.
We see adoption as concrete help in individual cases and want to make the positive experiences we have had available to others. Above all, we believe that no home, no matter how good, can replace a loving and caring family.
Adoption is a lifetime decision. That is why we believe it is important to support prospective parents from the outset, sharing the experiences of long-term adoptive parents as well as adult adoptees and birth parents. Further support is also needed after adoption. Our adoption agency conducts in-depth interviews with applicants and is in constant dialogue with local child welfare services.
Couples who wish to adopt a child from abroad can receive advice, information and support from our organisation, Parents-Child-Bridge, at all stages of the decision-making process and the implementation of an overseas adoption, as well as long-term aftercare and support for adoptive families in the event of problems arising after the adoption.
We are currently approved as an international adoption agency for the following countries: Bulgaria, Latvia, Poland, Taiwan and Thailand. We do not place babies. The children we place are usually at least four years old, including children with medical conditions and siblings.
Depending on the country and child profile, waiting times of 2 to 4 years can be expected.
